As part of your photography holiday there are many other things to do in Essaouira. Cooking Moroccan food is just one.  My wife Naima is an excellent cook and she demonstrates how to make a variety of different dishes here in Essaouira.

A 3-4 hour class gives you an opportunity to learn traditional Moroccan cuisine with recipes handed down from Berber families. Tour the spice market in preparation for your session and buy spices you can take home to perfect your own Tagine or Pastilla. Afterwards you get to eat what’ve you made!

Choose from a menu of:

Crevette briwat or Briouates – small pastillas made with prawns. Couscous, Harira – traditional Moroccan soup, Zaalouk – aubergine and tomato salad, Lamb Tagine with almonds and dates, Beef Tagine with prunes and walnuts, Chicken and olive Tagine, Kefta Tagine with vegetables, Chicken Pastilla with traditional Moroccan flatbread.

We are also offering a 8 day cooking holiday here in Essaouira, staying at the Maison du Sud including 4 cooking workshops over 4 days and a midweek countryside trip all for the inclusive price of £795pp including airport transfers.  We can also mix and match a week’s holiday for two people to include cooking and photography at a discounted price.
